mayo is just emulsified egg yolks and oil, if they added egg whites it would have protein because that is where it is stored the yolks are just sodium and cholesterol lol

Two corrections here. 1- nearly half of the protein in an egg is in the yolk (2.7 grams out of the total 6) 2- whole egg mayo recipes are quite common, actually. They just don’t contain any protein either The reason mayo’s protein is negligible is because it’s 80% oil. There’s not enough egg per serving to even warrant measuring

If you’re looking to up your protein intake in mayo based dishes, try subbing PART of the mayo with Greek yogurt. However I really want to stress the importance of fiber intake instead of protein. Please focus on your fiber content

I didn’t have any greek yogurt so I subbed it for cool whip and it tasted disgusting… why would you do that to me 💔
