for all the reasons above and the fact that showing any emotion except anger(and maybe like laughter and confusion) is considered bad and un masculine. Just like any sort of vulnerability. So the most logical step to take is to cover vulnerability of showing somebody attention with a layer of irony, essentially saying “I’m not into her, she’s just funny to me lol”.
