I don’t know why we’re making holidays after people. Time and time again people, both me and women have failed. Name them after a cause or something else from the get-go and holidays won’t have to be re-named.

Dolores Huerta spoke at my school years ago and there was a Q and A. I hadn’t planned to ask anything but after there was question after question about Chavez I did. I never thought of this but I just thought how frustrating to be continually asked about a man who’s been dead for 30 years instead of the fascinating work you’ve been doing your whole life.

He told her(13) to stay away from other boys because he’d get jealous. He told her that the Flamingos song, “I Only Have Eyes for You,” was their song, and that every time she heard it she should “just remember that I love you.” “I had love for him,” Ms. Rojas said. “He did his grooming very well. Because the rich always hoard the benefits and push off the consequences onto others. Of course it’s not 100% accurate, the rich do have some negative effects from economic downturn and the poor get some benefits from economic upturn, but look at 2008. A few banks utterly pillaged the American and global economy, and used the bailout money to give themselves fat bonuses for “weathering the storm” they caused, while laying off millions. Since 2020, the US GDP is up like 8 trillion dollars, but

GDP is up ~33% since then (21 trillion to 29 trillion), but the richest man’s wealth has ballooned 400%. They do reap an outsize portion of the benefits from growth and shield themselves from loss
