You said “zegler sucked as actor” and wasn’t meant for the role so my comment was a response to that. Anyway, I followed the whole thing from the beginning, less and less as time went on and Rachel received hate way before she opened her mouth just based on the fact that she was casted and wasn’t white. Yeah she said some things that can be considered controversial after the fact, but based on how the hate started, I don’t think what she said was the core reason why many people didn’t like her.
well…kinda….Madame morrible and “the wicked witch” (elphaba) are two different characters played by two different people. but madame morrible, although never outright called “wicked witch” in the movie the way elphaba was, was a wicked witch as perceived by the audience. she was a “good” character who was actually bad. Michelle yeoh, who plays madame morrible, would often joke about this during interviews and say that if u flipped madame morribles initials (MM) upside down, you would get WW—
short for wicked witch, alluding to the characters true nature in the movie. it was a silly bit she would do where she put up 3 fingers on each hand upside down to make an M M shape, and then flip them right side up to make a W W. and go “MM— Flip it around! Wicked Witch!” but the joke is that she said it at literally every single interview and red carpet and people thought it was funny
Oh I do. But seems like some people only respond to people proving they’re on a similar intellectual level as them. The fact that people are seriously trying to have full on arguments over a Disney character is crazy. All I said was my opinion and by definition, an opinion can’t be right or wrong
I haven’t said I was right about anything tho? All I said was an opinion. I don’t see why Disney would make Eugene a poc when he’s not. To me, Ariel’s color was a non issue in my eyes because all of her siblings look different, so her being black white or whatever is easily plausible.
In the original movie she’s a ginger. Feels like it would be most logical to carry that over, but even if you don’t care what she looks like (I don’t) it would be stupid to justify changing her look simply because “she’s a mermaid.” Would make more sense to just say “she’s a Disney fairytale character so who cares.” That’s all. Have a nice life
like this is a circumstance where the best option is partial wig and the rest of the length being CGIed in because it's just too impractical to have a wig actually be that long. i think the best case scenario is a combination of practical effects (thinking how LOTR/the hobbit movies used scaling and the actual sets being built around camera perspective) to create an illusion of length and cgi to fill in what's cost prohibitive or difficult to pull off that way
As someone that programs and makes CGI I genuinely think that that is the right way to do 100ft hair. I like practical effects and wish they were used more often but there is no reason why every effect should be practical, a CG artist working for Disney will make 100ft hair that looks better and more realistic than a wig because a wig in inherently less controllable. A wig is prone to tangling, you need supports to let it flow where you want it to, it may not catch light exactly how you want to.
He’s in a multi season show rated N-17 involving murder and dead haunted spirits, plays a suspect in a slasher film with some of the goriest kills I’ve seen outside of the Terrified franchise, and just got out leading in Little Shop of Horros off Broadway. Idk what you’re talking about.
For shots in the tower, they’ll probably have a decently long wig with few full body shots. I’m guessing they’ll have hair that isn’t attached to her head draped around and give the appearance of it being connected with cgi. Him climbing and her pullying down will probably be 100% CGI otherwise it would be extremely dangerous
