I believe it’s because of her daughters popularity. Also I saw someone make a good point, is that this is probably scaring journalist around the world. If more scenarios like this continue to happen to other scenarios, then a lot of journalists will stop reporting.

Yes. It as that uncommon. Most kidnapping are of children and mostly of random, normal people. This is highly unusual that the elderly mother of a talk show host is kidnapped and held for ransom and the perpetrator is just no where to be found ? This has never happened before.

yes there should be more coverage of all the children and people who go missing that don’t have money but why is it that whenever something happens, people have to go into the comments and invalidate the issue they just read. Well this is what always happens. Remember the gabby petito case? It created an uproar over how much media coverage her case was getting compared to hundreds of other women of color who are also missing in the same areas as they found multiple bodies while looking for gabby. When there’s influence and money there’s always gonna be more media coverage
