Learn how political parties work. Venezuela is a genuine dictatorship. Venezuela has no checks and balances. The ruling party controls the courts decisions, the election system, any anyone who opposes can be sent to jail or exiled from the country. Venezuela is also known for torturing and arresting their journalists and protestors. Millions of Venezuelans have fled the country due to unlivable conditions and inflation rising so much that it caused shortages in food, water, medicine, etc.
