A city of 3 million people is not in fact a “warzone” because of a few bad blocks, there’s definitely crime in Chicago, just like there’s crime everywhere. They have a pretty good crime rate relative to their population. My college town has a higher murder rate than Chicago, but less overall murders just because there’s so many less people here. You’re more likely to be murdered where I live than in Chicago, but the way bigger city is gonna have more as a raw number and not a rate.
