As a guy who waited too long to start, my biggest advice would be to start now. It only gets harder and you’ll be better off for it. Impressing anyone should be one of the lowest reasons you’re doing it though

M20 and are you M or F? Also, my advice is it’ll happen when it’s meant to happen. Have patience and it’ll be so worth the wait. I can tell you I’m still waiting myself and don’t wanna rush it.
