DO NOT CUT YOUR CUTICLES! Pushing them back is fine but cutting them is unnecessary. This can invite infection. There are some beauty standards that are stupid and cutting cuticles is one of them. Don’t ever cut them.

the excess dead skin that is on the outer edges (mostly bottom edge) needs to be pushed back and cut off. it’ll take away the hangnails
