Genuinely what makes a person in this scenario not just identify as a trans man? Is it just like a "watch this space" kinda thing where they will or are there actual people out there getting bottom surgery who still consider themselves cis or nonbinary?

i mean 1) you could ask them 2) bottom surgery can mean a lot of different things 3) i really thought trans people had moved on from penis = man

Im an afab butch on t and im mostly in it to grow a big heavy wiener. I dont wanna be a man and despite being transmasc i definitely feel a strong connection to womanhood through being a lesbian. I do get dysphoria about my body but not in a binary sense

I don't think penis = man, I think if your genitals give you dysphoria, you're trans. Let's focus on the words that were actually said

I didn't check the account to know they're 18 or transmasc, I just read the tweet. Idek this person lol I saw the tweet and it prompted a question. Which has consequently been answered, this is most likely a "watch this space" kind of thing

i mean plenty of people identify as butch as a gender identity too so it’s not really you or i’s business on whether or not they identify as a trans man

no, your post doesn’t say “if your genitals give you dysphoria, you’re trans” (which the OP of the tweet literally is), it conflates someone wanting bottom surgery with being a trans man, which is saying penis = man. it’s also weird to act like nonbinary people can’t have bottom dysphoria and get bottom surgery.

it’s not “most likely” a “watch this space” thing and that’s really weird to say about someone else’s gender.

Not every Trans person experiences bottom dysphoria, though. That’s not a requirement. Hell, many don’t, or experience very little. Usually Transfemme folks experience more bottom dysphoria but many still don’t.

Saying if your genitals give you dysphoria does not say penis-man it says bottom surgery=trans. Which everyone can disagree with or have commentary on lol that's what I'm asking but don't put words in my mouth

I literally never said every trans person experiences bottom dysphoria. Making things up

And this is the type of response that is actually helpful and is actually responding to the things I've said so thanks for providing your perspective on this
