At the end of the day, your journey is yours and yours alone. You have all the time in the world to explore your sexuality and I hope this questioning phase is kind to you. Have you thought you might be gay before the movie?

Yeah I’ve thought about it but it was always terrifying to me like I felt like I had to date a girl for my parents

Oof I’m a lesbian with similar expectations on me so I understand you. I hate to recite cliches but it’s best for you to come to terms with it and live the life you want and not the one your parents want. I’m unfortunately still learning that.
